Mandatory Bloggery Late New Years Crap

So I lagged on getting this X-Mas/New Years post out...

But here it is, we had a darn good time.

 CommanderNBeef was coming into town, so its always good to be prepared and stocked up for a good old fashioned shit show.

 And the shit-show starts. CommNBeef getting comfortable in the man cave.

 My 'ol lady gave me the trilogy for Christmas. So hyped.

 We all went to Canada Steak Burger for there fatso burger.

Whats a fatso burger you ask? It's a 1 pound burger topped with gyro meat and pastrami and bacon. 

And if you eat it you are a fat fatty fuckin fatso fat tit fuck!

It's a damn man sized burger that will make you hate yourself when you are done eating it. 

And as a result you'll start punching holes in walls.

'Cuz you'll feel like a damn man for eating so many different animals at once.

Thats there standard single patty burger. It's goddamn delicious!

 These people work darn hard to serve you a perfect flame broiled burger.

 The whole time PrivateWormTits was bragging that he could finish his 

behemoth of a burger before anybody else could.

Little did he know of the challenger that sat beside him...

 CommandNBeef attacked it like a hobo attacking a crap pipe.

His cunning speed was nothing PrivateWormTits could keep up with.

He didn't stand a chance.

EatFiend @ Carnitas Snack Shack

Time to get porkified my fellow Fiends... 

The Carnitas Snack Shack is located on 2632 University avenue 92104 in the heart of North Park.

It's right by Western Steakburger which is often hard to pass up since they have really darn good milkshakes.

 Slow cooked pork products that will melt in your mouth like butter.

 Digital menu: check

local beer selection: check

Outdoor seating: check

Credit cards accepted? check

Open from noon 'til midnite: check

 Walk up window: check

Closed on Tuesdays only.

 So I've been there 2 times in the last month or so. The first time I went  

I purchased the Triple Threat sandwich, which consisted of a pork loin patty topped with some shredded pork, topped with some bacon strips and pickled relish sauce. 

Fucking amazing!

 The second time I went I purchased the standard B.L.T.

Served on Texas toast. I fucking love Texas toast. 

It too was fucking amazing.

This, with fries cost me about $12.

Bacon.... sweet, mouth watering bacon.

Get over there and grab yerself a bite.

EatFiend @ Kensington Grill

The ladies appreciate nothing more than going out to a nice place that doesn't wreak of stale beer and bacon.

 Kensington Grill is located on 4055 Adams avenue 92116.

We hit it up on Sunday evening for Restaurant Week. They had $25 per course option and $30 per course option. When they say course, that means one appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert. Decent wine and beer list. Cheapest beer was $6 for a pint, but the got a darn good selection of micro-brews.

The ladies splurged for a bottle of wine. Cheers!

 On the upper right we have oysters and chorizo. Lower right we have
fried calamari in pickled bean sprouts. Salad on the lower left and I don't
remember what the hell the upper left is. At this point I'm about 12 beers deep
and was told by my 'ol lady to be on my best behavior. Okay babe, just for you.

Brandt beef burger. Mouth watering delicious.

 Tortellini with some of the best ox-tail I've ever had. Ate this up like a king.
The beer mad it taste even better.

 PrivateWormTits went with the baby back ribs with a side of cornbread.

 And a pork tenderloin with some creamy side sauce I don't know the name of.

Left over rib bone with a doodle. The meal was definitely not what I was expecting for Kensington Grill. I was expecting a place more like an actual grill with chicken wings and shit like that. But this was, as Frank Reynolds said "Areal classy affair".

EatFiend @ Food Truckamania Lets get bloody/ The Ould Sod

Went back to the food trucks on Adams Avenue again...

...the gathering of fellow fatso's in University Heights had everybody feeling a little adventurous and very hungry on this Tuesday night.

Went through all of the food trucks and came to this one.

Everybody else went there separate ways. There was a cool folk band playing live music. The band was called "Chicken Bone Slim & the Biscuits". Sick!

The blood sausage is what attracted me to the eastern European cuisine truck. Never had it before.

Other plate options.

Not sure what he bought but I'm sure Stinky gobbled it up quick. Then took a dump, twice as fast.

Here it is blood sausage covering a bun. Pretty delicious but I will probably wait awhile 'til I try it again. The meat was too runny with blood. I guess I was expecting some sort of cased patty form of sausage. Maybe it wasn't what I expected but if I see it again else-where I'd try it again.

 Afterwards we headed to The Ould Sod and got to hear some live music. Guinness for me, Stella for my 'ol lady.
